How was your week?!  Did you accomplish what you set out to?  Did your week unfold as you were expecting?  Were there surprises or set-backs?  Of course!!

The question is:  How did you choose to react when those setbacks happened? (think, behave, feel)?

With so much we want to do each day, how do we keep on track?  How do we take charge of our situation, even when external forces may create new priorities that need to be addressed?  How do we continue to empower ourselves to accomplish the things that are important and have the most impact?

It’s a big subject, so for today just remember, no matter what happens…we are in charge of ourselves, our thoughts and our actions.

This shift in thinking puts US in control, and puts US in the driver’s seat of our lives.

I like this quote from Shawn Achor, one of the world’s leading experts on the connection between happiness and success:

“What we’re finding is it’s not necessarily the reality that shapes us, but the lens through which your brain views the world that shapes your reality. And if we can change the lens, not only can we change your happiness, we can change every single educational and business outcome at the same time.”
